Summary: .hack//SIGN is part of a multitude of works on the story of The World, an online role playing game. In this series, we see the story of Tsukasa, a young player in The World who discovers one day that he cannot log out. More and more people find out about his dilemma and lend their hand to help. His predicament leads to talk about how something like this could happen as well as a legendary item, known as the Key of the Twilight. Does this key exist? And even more importantly, does Tsukasa?

Commentary: This series is a great mystery, and has some excellent music to go along with it. However, the series moves slowly, with a lot of repetition and flash backs. While this is an intriguing concept, and a well-crafted anime, some viewers may lose interest.
