Summary: Though Lord Il Pallazo is the head of a secret organization called ACROSS, working towards world domination, he is actually a nice guy who wants nothing more than to save the people of Earth from themselves. His interns, the eager Excel and the constantly ill Hyatt, work hard to fulfill his orders. Unfortunately, they can't seem to do anything right.
Commentary: This is the manga that brought about the anime, Excel Saga. While the anime is crazy and incredibly funny, the manga is even more over-the-top, sometimes too over-the-top. On the American releases of the manga, it says "Stories the director himself said they didn't dare put in the anime." You can definitely see why. Though I enjoyed the manga, I didn't like nearly as much as the anime. I guess it was too over-the-top, even for me!
