Summary: The time is the present. Nako is a talented cellist who, one day, stumbles upon a stone statue in her basement. Inside the statue, Nako finds Kurumi, a steel angel, which she awakens (accidentally) with a kiss. After that, Kurumi calls Nako master and is always at her side. This is more than Nako's friend, Uruka (U-chan) can take. She immediately becomes jealous and looks for a way to undermine Kurumi and Nako's relationship.
Commentary: I really like Steel Angel Kurumi, but I had a big problem with the continuation. It never explained what happened in the past, what happened to Nakahito and the others, and why Kurumi, Saki and Karinka were ever sealed away to begin with. Instead, it is as though none of this ever happened - in fact, Saki is the only one who seems to remember her past relationship with Kurumi. Kurumi does not remember Saki or Karinka, and so, probably has forgotten Nakahito as well (which really makes me sad - I guess love doesn't really last forever :~( ). Aside from that, Steel Angel Kurumi 2 is cute, but like the OVA, unnecessary - you learn nothing new about the characters and the "adventures" are rather meaningless. I'd say watch only if you're a true fan, but it is because I was a fan of Season 1 that I didn't really enjoy this one as much. Oh well, watch it if you'd like.

Reason for Rating: Cute, but doesn't explain many things, seems unnecessary because it does not expand on the story at all.
