Trigun

Number of Volumes in Manga: 2

Characters:

Summary: Trigun is about a legendary gunslinger, named Vash the Stampede, who is known for causing disasters. When insurance girls, Meryl and Millie, are assigned to the Vash case, Vash finds these two strange girls following him everywhere, trying to prevent disasters. But slowly, they learn that Vash is not always responsible for the damage.

Commentary: I read the manga after watching the anime, and of course, I immediately saw the differences. The manga starts in a place that occurs much later in the series. Also, in the anime, it took a few episodes before the insurance were sure that this spiky blond guy was Vash, but this didn't happen in the manga. They knew right away. The manga is also different from the anime in that for the manga there are two volumes of Trigun, and then the rest are Trigun Maximum (which I haven't gotten to read yet.) The anime, on the other hand, is just Trigun. I hope to have information on Trigun Maximum, as soon I get to read it. Wow, this commentary doesn't really say too much about what I thought. I liked the manga - it taught us a little more about what Vash is. But I would say that I prefer the anime.

Rating: 9/10
Reasons for Rating: Good read, definitely worth the buy (LOTS thicker than most manga), some of the drawings were a little confusing, but helps to give some insight for those who enjoy the anime.
